The Next Generation of Design Students

Back in 2014, I had the amazing opportunity to teach at the School of Advertising Art, or SAA. It was an incredible experience. one that I never thought I would pursue. But that time I spent as an instructor was rewarding beyond measure.

The design college rebranded shortly after that time, and is now known as The Modern College of Design. With over 40 years of excellence and worldwide recognition, the design college continues to build some of the best design students around. Graphic Design USA Magazine has recognized The Modern as one of the top design schools in the nation for over a decade.

I was recently asked to be part of the Program Advisory Committee, and I am eager to be part of this team. The Program Advisory Committee (PAC) is composed of industry professionals, alumni, and educators who review the programs, curriculum, facilities, equipment, and outcomes of The Modern annually. PAC members provide feedback to the college during an annual meeting based on their expertise. This feedback is then used to inform future decisions to move the college forward.

Since leaving my teaching position, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a global branding business, serve my community through design, and help to build and shape the creative team at Olberding Brand Family. I’ve been able to help launch brands, lead rebranding efforts for CPG companies, and recreate a creative culture.

I am excited to be part of The Modern again, to pass on what I have learned, and to give back to an industry that’s given so much to me.
